Hi I’m Fran a freelance Photographer based in London. Photography has been an active passion of mine for 10+ years. As a child I remember my mum constantly taking photos of me and my siblings (albeit with a disposable camera but she always captured moments). We had a cupboard full of printed photos that I loved to sift through even if I had seen the same shot a hundred times before. When my mum passed, my older sister and I no longer had access to our childhood photos. All of our childhood memories that were caught on camera are forever lost, some etched into my memory, but these are far and few between. It is probably because of my lack of personal photographs that photography is such a great passion of mine. The joy of capturing beautiful memories for others to enjoy is what drives me.
I started taking photos of friends and family just for fun. A couple of years in, and my knowledge of the craft & camera grew. I fell in love with photography, finding beauty in every scenario and capturing moments that would otherwise be lost is a huge part of why I love what I do so much. It was after I had children that I experimented more and more with my camera, taking photos at every given opportunity (much to their distaste). It’s thanks to them that I have the confidence and skill set to pursue photography professionally.
Fast forward to 2020, a number of different shoots under my belt, or should I say camera strap, and… Covid happened. During the Coronavirus lockdown I took to taking photos of local families on their doorsteps/through a window to document the different ways in which people were isolating. The project was born out of a need to continue shooting and using my craft even when the world was saying no!
Here I am today, a very passionate photographer in love with what I do. Specialising in Families, children, portrait and product but able to give everything and anything a go!
